Traditional Literature is a genre that consists of stories that include fairytale, folktale, legends, fables, tall tales and myths that have been passed down for generations from differnt cultures.

A way to use traditional literature in the classroom is storytelling. I know that many teachers have a magic carpet in their classroom to gather around and read a story to the class. Many children love to listen to stories especially when they have an evil villian or a prince and princess in it. Another fun way to use it in the classroom is act out a story or play. The teacher can always bring some props for the students to dressup in and have them do an act in front of the class.

I would definitly use traditional literature in my classroom. I think that it would be fun for the students because they can use their imagination but also fun for the teacher because he/she can see all the different ideas that kids come up with .
